The Department of Pharmacology is one of the key departments in the School of Pharmacy, Maseno University. It came into being in 2014 to offer Pharmacology courses to the MBChB with IT programme, both in the preclinical and clinical years of study. This mandate has expanded overtime to include teaching of the BSc. Nursing students. The department is currently spearheading the development of the Bachelor of Pharmacy curriculum. The department hopes for future growth with the development of more innovative programmes that will meet the healthcare needs both locally and internationally.

DEPARTMENTAL STRATEGIC OBJECTIVES
1.    To conduct and publish at least two studies per year
2.    To improve the teaching of Pharmacology by ensuring over 90% content coverage per academic year.
